By air: Borajet Airlines have flights from Istanbul and Ankara in 4 days of the week. Moreover, Turkish Airlines have daily flights to Batman which is 1.5 hours from Siirt. For those who will use Batman flights can take public transport (dolmus) from the bus station at downtown until 1730 hours.

By car/bus: The main route is the Diyarbakır-Siirt highway which goes along east-west direction. The bus station in 1 km to Siirt downtown and visitors can reach it by public transport.

By rail: Addition to airway and highways, visitors can use the railway which reachs up to Kurtalan district along Batman. The train station is 28 km to Siirt downtown and visitors can take public transport.

Although you can reach to Botan Valley by public transport between Siirt-Eruh, it is not possible to reach many of the trails by bus. Therefore renting a car is highly recommended. You can get more information from the car rental offices at the Siirt airport.

No guided tours are held for ecotourism in Siirt.

Hiking can be done all year long at Botan Valley where winters are mind with almost no snow cover. Because of the hot temperatures in the summer months the best season for ecotourism is between October and June.

You will need boots, pants, hat, water, dry fruits, torch, knife and an emergency set.
